Headline Speakers 

 

Mehrdad Zangeneh is Professor of Thermofluids at University College London and Founding Director of Advanced Design Technology, Ltd. He has published more than 120 papers on turbomachinery design and optimization in journals and refereed conferences and has been granted 6 international patents.

 

Georg Scheuerer founded Advanced Scientific Computing in Germany, the predecessor of ANSYS Germany and had successfully grown this company over a period of 25 years. Georg’s academic background is turbulence, heat transfer and multiphase flow modeling. Besides his technical know-how, Georg brings experience and expertise in project, account and team management.

 

Thorsten Hansen has worked as a team leader at ANSYS Germany for 18 years specializing in turbomachinery simulations. He and his team have successfully supported several major accounts in the turbomachinery and power generation industry and helped their customers to establish innovative and more efficient simulation workflows. 

 

Nicholas Engen Pedersen is Chief Development Engineer at Grundfos, Denmark. He has the global responsibility for ensuring state-of-art performance and quality of hydraulic pump components delivered from the D&E organization. He is responsible for the continuous development and deployment of simulation tools used for the fluid mechanical design and analysis of pump hydraulics, and has recently been involved in developing an automated multi-discipline design tool that integrates parametric CAD models and flow simulations with numerical optimization techniques.
