The main theme of this year’s symposium is the advanced technologies concerning hydraulic machinery and systems, which will contribute to enhance the sustainable development of water resources and hydropower production. At this year’s conference Mr. Lorenzo Bossi of ADT will h0ld a plenary session during the opening ceremony on Tuesday 21st September at 12:00 on “TURBOdesign Suite ‐ Ideal platform for the 3D design of hydraulic Machines”. The presentation will cover the forthcoming release of TURBOdesign Suite 5.0, which includes new modules for 3D optimization, preliminary design and volute design
ADT is also pleased to announce that on Tuesday 21st September at 14.30, Dr. K. Daneshkhah, Manager of Engineering Services for ADT will present a paper on “Parametric Design of a Francis Turbine Runner by Means of a Three‐Dimensional Inverse Design Method”.
In this presentation Dr Daneshkhah will demonstrate the advantages of TURBOdesign Suite and the 3D Inverse Design methodology to perform a parametric study of the main turbine design variables in regards to multiple objectives such as efficiency, cavitation and reduction of secondary flows.
During the conference, ADT’s engineers will also be at hand to demonstrate how by using TURBOdesign Suite you can achieve better know-how transfer between projects and design teams, significant reduction in design time, higher performance and reduction in noise.
