Professor Mehrdad Zangeneh (Executive Director, ADT) will present two papers on the application of 3D inverse design for the development of breakthrough turbomachinery designs:

  • An inverse design based methodology for rapid 3D multi-objective/multi-disciplinary optimization of axial turbines - GT2011-46729 – During the session on Monday, June 06 between 08:00 AM-10:00 AM.
  • Optimization of 6.2:1 pressure ratio centrifugal compressor impeller by 3D inverse design - GT2011-46505 – During the session on Tuesday, June 07 between 14:30 PM-17:00 PM.

ADT’s engineers will be on hand, at stand number 326, to demonstrate the new features of TURBOdesign Suite 5.0, including new products such as TURBOdesign Pre – 1D sizing code for preliminary design of turbomachinery components, and TURBOdesign Optima, the automatic optimisation platform based on the 3D inverse design approach for multi-point / multi objective design.
